The flower growers have been cultivating marigolds on the riverbanks in the city without pesticides or fertiliser. The sand is fertile, renewed by the floods each monsoon. New plan are threatening to bring a global imagination of brick and concrete to the fields. The fertility of Capital is more than the fertility of Land.
