Art Safiental is a biennial of site-specific art in the Safien valley in the Swiss Alps; its fifth edition in 2024 took the question “What If?” as its theme. Ravi Agarwal worked with Paulina Lopez, a scientist working on water, glaciers and climate change,, researching the disappearance of glaciers. Their starting point was a tiny trace of a long-melted glacier, found in a fifteenth-century fresco in the church of Tenna.
