Ancestral Futures was the exhibition with which Gallery Espace marked its anniversary in autumn 2024, curated by Damian Christinger (18 October to 12 December 2024). Artists were invited to respond to the gallery’s own history, starting from the poster of its first exhibition in 1989, a solo show by M. F. Husain, and to imagine where its practice might go next.
